“You have always failed in your life.” I was once told. “What makes you think this time you will succeed?” Years had passed since I heard those harsh words. On this post, I would like to talk about chasing success relentlessly.
People react in different ways to criticisms.
Some criticisms are constructive and spoken in a way that is conducive to communication. But there are instances when the intent was not to criticize, but to cause hurt.
How you react to both instances does not mean that the person beside you will react the same way. You either use it to add fuel to the fire burning inside of you, or you succumb to the pressure and stop chasing success.
Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time, thrives on criticism. One of his motivating factors is proving doubters and critics wrong. Not everyone is like him, though.
In chasing success, what inspires a person to fight through adversities?
What does success mean to you?
It is true that you can’t please everyone. One person’s success does not mean everyone should celebrate. In the same manner, a failure may not be a failure in other people’s mind.
How is success measured?
If you knew the secret to success, wouldn't you already be successful? Here are my thoughts on the secret to success according to Bro. Velden Lim.#AmazingLifeDaily #VeldenLim #SecretToSuccess
There are things you need to do. No one else can decide when you stop. It is you chasing success and not them.
So what if you failed in the past?
I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. – Michael Jordan
The point is, you only fail when you do not learn anything and continue to do the same mistakes.
What other people think doesn’t matter so long as what you are doing is legal and moral.
Why should you listen to people who say you will fail?
Listen to those who believe in you. And if there is no one else, there’s always you.
It’s better chasing success relentlessly rather than succumb to dream stealers.
